At Maison-Sauvage we like to focus on details and exploration of new materials. We design and cast our handles in solid brass, draw new type of rattans and create new material combination.
SVLK legal wood
Timber Legality Verification System or "SVLK" function to ensure wood products and their raw materials obtained or derived from sources whose origin and management meet the legal aspects. Wood called when the legal origin of timber, logging licenses, systems and procedures for harvesting, transporting, processing, and trading can be proven meet all applicable legal requirements. "SVLK" prepared jointly by a number of parties (stakeholders). "SVLK" contains standards, criteria, indicators, verifiers, verification methods, and assessment norms agreed stakeholders.
The Indonesian government implemented the "SVLK" to ensure that all timber products in circulation and traded in Indonesia have a legal status that is convincing. With "SVLK", consumers abroad was no need to doubt the legality of timber from Indonesia. With "SVLK", farmers from forests and indigenous people can raise their bargaining position and not be worried as timber discredited when transporting lumber for sale. The furniture manufacturer is sure to legality of the source of the wood raw material making it easier to convince the buyers abroad. Indonesia imposed a gradual step in the application "SVLK". This is the first step that must show a certificate of legality before heading to certified sustainable forest management (sustainability).
WOOD
The wood used in our production is certified with SVLK standards of sustainable forest and plantation management in Indonesia.
LEATHER
Hand selected quality leathers, both local and imported, are used in our designs to great effect. Rich and sumptuous describes the feel. Naturally tanned goatskin fills out our leather collection.
FABRIC
Our fabrics are made for everyday life, resistant and durable. They are made from a mix of Linen and Polyester and comes in 6 different finishes.
METAL
When combined correctly with wood and other materials, adds another dimension to our designs. Steel, aluminium and brass with various different treatments and finishes are our go to metals. Both as accents and components and as stand-alone items.
RATTAN
Rattan is a type of material that is used in wicker weave. Rattan is a naturally growing vine like species that is native to tropical regions of Indonesia, and use from very long time in furniture. We are only using the best selected rattan for our product.
BRASS
We are designing and casting most of our handles and brass accessories, all made in solid brass material.

ENDURA FOAM® is premium foam with high quality, which is processed by only pure foam base materials without mixing Calcium Carbonate filler.
